CLINIC AT FARAFENNI NOVEMBER 16-30, 2015
This was Gambicats’ first outreach clinic and was held at Farafenni, a busy town some 2 hours’ drive from the coast on a crossing of the river Gambia. Dodou had spent much time researching possibilities and chose the FRG Camp as the clinic’s home and the AMRC Guest House to stay in. Both were excellent and we are grateful for the support of local Livestock Assistant Mohammed Kinteh and Camp manager Nyakas Gassama. The UK team comprised vet Sue Harvey, veteran of 2 previous clinics; vet Holly Lee and vet nurse Sarah Hutt on their first visits; many-times volunteer Sue Silk and Frances Miller. Dodou was in charge of logistics, liaison, catching etc. assisted by Alajie and Modu.
